Charles E. L'Homme Papers, 1943-1993.

Charles E. L'Homme (CEL) was a professor of English at Simmons College, Boston, MA (1954-1992). Include in these Papers are research notes, course materials, class notes, correspondence, and personal academic writings. The Papers document the scholarship CEL applied in gathering teaching materials and structuring his course lectures. Also included are aduio recordings of lectures. The correspondence, course evaluations, and student recommendations document the scholarly influence and personal associations that CEL shared with his graduate and undergraduate students. The papers include class notes (11, 126, 317, 381R, 391RS, 382, 392, Bewoulf, Dante, Tristan, and others), published and unpublished writings, correspondence, his dissertations, journals (1949-ca. 1969), student course evaluations, audio tapes, and letters of condolence on his death.
